This retailer is one of the largest in the UK and probably one of the most well known and respected brands in any sector. With a nation-wide network of prime sited stores and continuing plans for development and expansion they are both well positioned now and have a strong and positive future. Owing largely to a strategic review within the trading function, this retailer is looking for a Children’s Book buyer, or experienced assistant buyer, who is looking for a real challenge as the next step in their career.

This role would take responsibility for all of the product selection, range planning, range reviews and all promotional activity. The successful candidate will be part of the buying team to grow and develop the category, using relationships with suppliers to negotiate market-leading pricing and promotions.

Interested candidates will have worked at buyer or senior assistant buyer level within a Children’s Books - buying department and be looking for their next position on the career ladder. They should have experience of substantial supplier negotiation along with the drive and ambition to succeed.

Job Salary / Benefits:

£26-32k, plus Bonus & Benefits
